Responsibilities
- Direct daily operations of engineering and maintenance teams during assigned shifts
- Ensure all building systems operate within manufacturer and regulatory standards
- Respond to emergency incidents and coordinate rapid resolution
- Supervise and mentor on-site technical personnel
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of system performance
- Perform routine inspections of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers
- Manage work order systems and prioritize maintenance tasks
- Monitor building automation systems for optimal performance
- Implement energy efficiency initiatives and track results
- Conduct shift handovers and ensure continuity of operations
- Train team members on safety and operational procedures
- Support compliance with fire life safety standards
- Assist in developing standard operating procedures
- Respond to tenant service requests promptly
- Ensure proper inventory levels of critical spare parts
- Maintain security protocols for facility access
- Report operational issues to senior management
- Track key performance metrics for engineering functions
- Ensure adherence to local building codes
- Facilitate emergency drills and preparedness exercises
- Support sustainability and environmental programs
- Conduct performance evaluations for shift staff
