Lead Project Scheduler will oversee the creation and ongoing management of detailed project schedules within the Gas Power sector, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations, project scope, and internal control frameworks. This role is central to establishing and maintaining project baselines, monitoring progress, and identifying risks that could impact delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in handover meetings to capture bid schedules, contract terms, and initial project assumptions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to validate scope, execution strategy, and scheduling inputs for commitment meetings.
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules in Oracle Primavera P6, including L2/L3 breakdowns and S-curves, aligned with global planning standards.
- Lead baseline agreement sessions with functional stakeholders to resolve scheduling discrepancies and secure alignment.
- Monitor schedule performance regularly, identifying slippages, data inaccuracies, and potential delays.
- Conduct periodic critical path and delay analyses to support time extension claims and mitigation planning.
- Ensure project status, KPIs, and forecasts are accurately reflected in reporting tools such as Planner Dashboard, OTD Tracker, Pulse, and WIPT.
- Escalate schedule risks and critical issues to project leadership and support corrective action planning.
- Provide data-driven insights and root cause analysis for schedule variances to guide decision-making.
- Contribute to process improvements in planning methodologies, tools, and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and bring at least five years of experience in project control, planning, and scheduling within EPC environments—specifically in Power/Energy, Utilities, Manufacturing, Power Plants, or Infrastructure/Construction. A minimum of three years using Oracle Primavera P6 or similar scheduling tools is required. Experience working across international teams and familiarity with East Coast time zone (EST) hours is mandatory.
Preferred Experience
- Background in forensic planning and time extension claims (EOT).
- Understanding of power plant operations and EPC workflows.
- Experience with resource loading in P6 and site-level scheduling.
- Strong communication skills and ability to perform under pressure in complex project settings.
Work Environment
This is a remote role requiring availability during EST business hours. The position does not include relocation assistance.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary ranges from $100,000 to $166,700, adjusted by geographic differential (110%, 120%, or 130% in applicable regions). Additional compensation includes a discretionary annual bonus.
