This role involves leading scheduling activities as part of project controls on major capital projects. The successful candidate will bring strong expertise in construction planning, particularly within MEP and data center contexts, and will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and continuously update the owner's integrated master schedule (IMS) throughout project lifecycle.
- Define and implement the schedule management framework, including deliverables and standards for large-scale programs.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by providing strategic scheduling guidance and actionable recommendations.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning software.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure schedule integrity and alignment.
- Identify potential scheduling risks and opportunities, and propose effective mitigation strategies.
- Lead regular schedule review sessions and present progress updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Track project performance against baseline schedules and generate forward-looking schedules and reporting.
- Ensure MEP installation sequences are synchronized with key project milestones.
- Integrate vendor, subcontractor, and procurement schedules into the overall master schedule.
- Support change management and delay analysis activities as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, cost management, quantity surveying, or a related construction field.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in project planning or scheduling roles.
- Demonstrated field experience as a Senior or Lead Planner, preferably in data center projects.
- In-depth knowledge of MEP systems and their construction and design sequencing.
- Proficiency in scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret technical project data and translate it into scheduling decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to perform effectively in fast-moving and technically complex project environments.
- Prior experience in data centers, life sciences, or high-tech manufacturing sectors.
