Grupo PiSA is hiring a Lead Operator to oversee the safe and efficient operation of the Topolobampo Refined Products Terminal. You will be responsible for following all technical, safety, and environmental standards as defined by the Integrated Management System (SGI), ensuring the Terminal's reliable performance.
What You'll Do
- Operate and monitor plant equipment, controlling process parameters like flows, pressures, temperatures, and levels via control screens and trend logs.
- Coordinate and supervise up to eight direct reports, ensuring reliable terminal operations.
- Open/close automated valves and start/stop rotating equipment according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Communicate with Control Room Operators, Process Operators, and Field Operators to make necessary process adjustments.
- Supervise and implement operational controls for safety, health, and environmental activities, both routine and non-routine.
- Proactively report unsafe acts, conditions, incidents, or deviations to management to incorporate lessons learned.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and site-specific rules for safety, health, and environment.
- Supervise the safe shutdown, isolation, and purging of plant equipment or systems during emergencies.
- Prepare operational plant reports as requested by the Operations Supervisor or Plant Manager.
- Ensure the implementation and maintenance of the Integrated Management System (SGI), including documentation updates, audit participation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct daily 5-minute safety talks with personnel and supervise compliance of assigned strategic partners with safety and environmental guidelines.
- Support the Emergency Response Team during emergencies, which may require presence outside normal working hours.
- Supervise quality control and assurance topics, ensuring received equipment and materials meet technical specifications.
- Attend all required training sessions for safety, health, environment, quality, and operational procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience operating industrial or process plant facilities.
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate a team of operators or technicians.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of safety, health, and environmental management systems.
- Familiarity with the vocabulary and terminology of ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015, and 45001:2018 standards.
- Experience with emergency response plans (PRE) and safety brigades.
- Ability to read and follow technical procedures (SOPs), control screens, and trend logs.
- Commitment to order, cleanliness, and strict adherence to operational protocols.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting and coordinating with stakeholders and management.
- Willingness to be on call and respond to emergencies or extraordinary operational conditions outside normal hours.
Team & Environment
You will directly coordinate a team of up to eight (8) operators to ensure the reliable functioning of the Terminal. You will report directly to the Supervisor de Operación or Gerente de Planta.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position based at the Terminal de Refinados Topolobampo.
