Braze is looking for a Lead Instructor, Cybersecurity to teach virtual university courses in Spring 2026. You will be the primary instructor responsible for delivering CodePath's curriculum to large classes, planning engaging lessons, and ensuring course success. This role is part of Braze's mission to reprogram higher education and deliver industry-vetted support to students.
What You'll Do
- Lead online class sessions for approximately 300-450 college students, supporting them in achieving learning objectives
- Review and plan lessons using the provided curriculum to ensure they are highly engaging and industry-relevant
- Work with the Program Manager to oversee the course and collaborate with co-instructors as needed
- Participate in onboarding syncs with instructors and teaching assistants prior to the course start
- Use student feedback to implement course improvements and propose curriculum changes to meet KPIs
- Participate in check-ins during the course and optionally shadow other sessions to provide feedback
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of full-time experience in a software development or engineering role
- Availability to lead lectures during at least one listed course time (Wednesdays, 6:00pm-8:00pm ET or 8:00pm-10:00pm ET)
- Proficiency with Linux, Bash shell commands, package installation, and using SSH to access a remote machine
- Experience working through shifting priorities while maintaining organization and control
- A passion for training new developers and some experience teaching in an educational, volunteer, or work setting, ideally for online learning
Nice to Have
- Security+ or a similar certification, as the pathway requires general knowledge of various Cybersecurity concepts
- 1+ years of instructional experience with a demonstrated track record of educational excellence
