Humana Inc. is looking for a Lead – Finance Special Projects to drive targeted process improvement initiatives within the Finance function. This role partners closely with Finance leadership and cross-functional teams to identify, design, and implement solutions that optimize operations, increase efficiency, and promote the adoption of emerging technologies.
What You'll Do
- Travel into Humana's Louisville headquarters at least 1 time per month.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and their practical applications within Finance.
- Lead and execute special projects such as benchmarking, process redesign, identification and implementation of automation opportunities, and reporting enhancements.
- Partner with Finance teams and stakeholders to assess current processes, recommend solutions, and drive execution.
- Facilitate collaboration and the sharing of best practices across Finance.
- Develop project plans, manage timelines, and monitor progress.
- Support the change management process by developing training materials and communications.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project outcomes to leadership.
- Track and report on key performance indicators and value metrics for process improvement projects.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in benchmarking, process improvement, project management, or transformation initiatives, ideally within Finance.
- 2+ years of project leadership experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to synthesize complex information and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
Nice to Have
- Advanced degree.
- Experience with process design methodologies, automation technologies, and reporting tools.
- Experience in the healthcare industry or other complex, regulated industry.
