CLEAResult Consulting Inc. is hiring a Lead Energy Technician to serve as a vital on-site link to residential customers in the greater Metro Detroit area. This role focuses on educating utility customers about Energy Waste Reduction, installing equipment, and inspecting homes to provide actionable recommendations for saving energy and money.

What You'll Do

• Act as a local on-site program and company representative to residential customers.
• Educate power utility customers on Energy Waste Reduction.
• Install basic energy-efficient equipment and conduct basic residential energy efficiency upgrades.
• Inspect customers' homes for insulation, air sealing, and HVAC equipment.
• Make recommendations for saving energy and money.
• Work directly with a utility client's diverse, multi-lingual customer base.
• Provide technical advice, guidance, and training on installation, adaptation, or configuration.
• Provide input and status updates to program staff regarding project scope and effectiveness.
• Provide technical expertise to identify, analyze, and resolve issues.
• Travel throughout a defined territory and work a variable schedule.
• Stay organized and maintain equipment and company vehicle.
• Climb ladders up to 10' and lift/carry 50 lbs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test.
• Must live in or within a reasonable commuting distance from the greater Metro Detroit area.

Nice to Have

• 1-3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Associates Degree with relevant industry technical certification/training.
• BPI Certified.
• Experience or interest and ability to learn about home construction and HVAC equipment.
