Resultant, an outcomes-focused consulting firm, is hiring a Lead Delivery Engineer, Google Workspace. In this client-facing role, you will be the primary technical authority leading comprehensive Google Workspace migration and deployment projects. You'll serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through complex technical challenges to ensure successful transitions within a culture dedicated to servant leadership and deep client empathy.
What You'll Do
- Lead and execute comprehensive Google Workspace migration and deployment projects, from initial technical discovery and assessment to post-launch support.
- Design and implement detailed migration plans for email, calendar, contacts, and files from various source platforms.
- Perform hands-on data migrations using industry-standard tools like CloudM, BitTitan MigrationWiz, and Google's native tools.
- Configure and optimize the Google Workspace Admin Console based on client requirements and industry best practices.
- Implement and configure directory synchronization using tools like Google Cloud Directory Sync and configure Single Sign-On with third-party identity providers.
- Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues during deployment, including mail flow problems, DNS configuration, and migration failures.
- Conduct technical workshops with client stakeholders to gather requirements, present proposed solutions, and provide expert guidance.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including solution designs, configuration guides, and migration runbooks.
- Deliver technical training sessions to client IT staff.
- Work closely with Deployment Engineers, Customer Engineers, Project Managers, and other internal teams to ensure project success.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Current Google Workspace Administrator Certification.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Google Workspace Administrator or Deployment Engineer.
- Demonstrable experience leading at least two full-cycle Google Workspace migrations from Microsoft Exchange/Microsoft 365 or another enterprise platform.
- Deep expertise in configuring and managing the Google Workspace Admin Console, including core services, security settings, and reporting.
- Familiarity with advanced Google Workspace features such as Google Vault for eDiscovery, Endpoint Management, and advanced security center settings.
- Hands-on experience with third-party migration tools, Google’s native migration tools, and Google Apps Manager (GAM) commands.
- Strong understanding of email protocols and DNS records, including MX, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
- Proven experience in a client-facing role with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be willing to travel as needed (approximately 10%).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a lead role for Google Workspace migration projects.
- Experience with scripting and automation using Google Apps Script (GAS), Python, or PowerShell to solve complex administrative tasks.
- Experience configuring Google Cloud Directory Sync (GCDS) and/or SSO/SAML integrations.
- Experience with Google AppSheet.
- Experience working in a consulting or professional services organization.
- Knowledge of complementary technologies within Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly related to Identity and Access Management (IAM).
- A strong understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem to facilitate migration planning and co-existence scenarios.
