About the Role
The Lead Business Analyst will spearhead the business analysis team, focusing on strategic initiatives and operational improvements to enhance overall business performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of business analysts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
- Develop and maintain detailed project documentation.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather and document requirements.
- Analyze and document business processes and workflows.
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues.
- Create and maintain data models and process maps.
- Develop and implement business analysis standards and best practices.
- Provide training and support to team members.
- Ensure alignment of business analysis activities with project goals.
- Manage and prioritize the business analysis work queue.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of business analysis deliverables.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure project success.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in business analysis.
- Provide regular status reports to senior management.
- Participate in project planning and execution.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for projects.
- Develop and implement business analysis tools and templates.
- Provide input to project budgets and timelines.
Nice to Have
- Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA).
- Experience with agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of insurance industry processes and regulations.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC).
