CoverGo is looking for a Lead Business Analyst - Health Insurance, Claims to drive the digital transformation of insurance. You will lead a small team of analysts, working directly with clients to solve complex business problems and translate requirements into effective technical solutions within an Agile framework.
What You'll Do
- Manage and mentor a small team of business analysts by providing guidance, reviewing deliverables, and supporting professional development.
- Work with clients and technical resources to identify business problems and develop the right analytical solutions.
- Plan and design simple to semi-complex business processes and system modifications.
- Gather business requirements through techniques like work sessions and interviews; analyze and document complex requirements.
- Create complex test case scenarios and oversee the testing of business applications to verify requirements are met.
- Develop business requirements documents and user stories to support required modifications.
- Plan, allocate, and monitor the work of other business analysts.
- Understand systems and data to surface actionable insights and assist in providing time estimates for project tasks.
- Aid in updating process and procedural documentation and develop a basic understanding of technical development cycles.
- Support QA, UAT, and Release phases via defect analysis and change maintenance.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst with leadership experience.
- Previous experience working in the health insurance industry is required.
- Extensive experience in insurance claims processes is required.
- A degree in Business, IT, or any relevant field.
- Knowledge of business analysis concepts: defining requirements, translating to technical solutions, and Agile prioritization.
- Business analysis skills including facilitation, process documentation, requirements gathering, and user acceptance testing.
- Strong organizational/time management skills to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Experience in an Agile and/or Scrum environment is a must.
- Basic knowledge in generating process documentation, and documenting system functionality, data integration, and workflow.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
- Insurtech experience is preferred.
- Health Insurance-related domain certification from INS/LOMA or III is an added advantage.
- Technical writing skills is a plus.
