VantAI is looking for a Lab Manager to coordinate and manage lab operations within our new facility in Boston, MA. You will bring a sense of urgency and fiscal responsibility to enable the development of a highly sophisticated data generation platform.
What You'll Do
- Manage lab schedules, allocate equipment usage, and coordinate lab activities.
- Oversee procurement, maintain equipment maintenance schedules, and manage budgets.
- Enforce EHS policies, coordinate with the Safety Officer, and ensure proper waste disposal.
- Liaise with finance and HR teams, manage vendor relationships, and handle service contracts.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, and service visits with vendors.
- Work with IT and data engineering teams to ensure mass spec PCs, data servers, and network storage remain functional, backed-up, and compliant with security protocols.
What We're Looking For
- BSc in biology, chemistry, engineering, or associated subjects.
- 5+ years of experience managing lab operations.
- Experience with laboratory automation and associated considerations.
- Experience with permitting and EH&S regulations.
Nice to Have
- Experience with small startups and new lab buildouts.
- Experience with mass spectrometers and managing large equipment service contracts.

This is an onsite role located in Boston, MA.
