Baptist Health is hiring a Lab - Histology Technologist to provide timely and accurate histology services. In this role, you'll ensure efficient processing and examination of specimens while supporting the laboratory's quality standards.
What You'll Do
- Perform Histology procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Detect and report unusual conditions to your supervisor.
- Assist the Pathologist with examination of specimens.
- Process specimens and prepare and stain microscopic sections.
- Maintain and/or troubleshoot equipment and instruments.
- Work on QI projects pertaining to the Laboratory and Histology.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in Biology and/or Chemistry.
- Histological laboratory training culminating in national certification.
- Experience under a certified director.
- ASCP Histology (HT), Histotechnology (HTL) or Cytologist (CT) certification.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position located at Baptist Medical Center South.
