Topcon Agriculture is seeking a Key Account Manager Machine Distributor to lead the development of our distributor network and forge new partnerships across Belgium and the Netherlands. This role is a core part of the regional sales team, reporting to the Head of the region.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key machine distributors, serving as the main point of contact.
- Drive sales growth through distributor channels by setting sales targets, conducting business reviews, and creating joint business plans.
- Identify and negotiate new business opportunities and distribution contracts, focusing on specific brands like Hitachi & Volvo.
- Analyze distributor performance against KPIs, provide accurate sales forecasts, and define action plans to increase turnover and margin.
- Support distributors with training, product information, and marketing tools to enhance their sales and customer engagement capabilities.
- Resolve commercial issues related to pricing, inventory, logistics, and customer service in coordination with internal teams.
- Gather market intelligence on competitors, trends, and customer feedback to inform strategy.
- Collaborate closely with internal sales, product, marketing, finance, and technical service teams to align goals and execution.
- Ensure smooth execution of promotional campaigns and new product introductions, and manage tools for distributor engagement.
- Travel intensively, up to approximately 60% of your time, across the dedicated region.
What We're Looking For
- Several years of professional experience in a similar sales or key account management position.
- A professional background in sales with a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- A self-directed team player who is well-organized, accurate, and thorough.
- Willingness to travel across EMEA approximately 60% of the working time.
- Creative problem-solving skills, well-developed listening skills, and a strong ability to engage at various levels.
- Solid knowledge and experience in applying strategy to the market.
- Advanced skills in PowerPoint are a must-have.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and prioritize effectively for project completion.
Team & Environment
You will be part of the regional sales team, reporting directly to the Head of the region. The role involves significant teamwork with our subsidiaries and partners, as well as interaction with the Key Account Construction contractors Team and Major Regional Accounts.
Work Mode
This is a remote position open to candidates based in Belgium or the Netherlands.
