The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing a regional grocery portfolio with a focus on revenue growth and relationship management. This role involves developing promotional strategies, expanding product assortment, and ensuring execution excellence across assigned retail accounts while working closely with brokers and internal leadership.
Responsibilities
- Account growth strategy — develop promotional plans, expand assortment, and increase in-store presence across assigned retailers
- Retailer relationship management — build direct rapport with buyers and category managers; develop joint business plans
- Day-to-day execution excellence — manage pricing, promotions, and order flow
- Provide regular account updates to leadership and surface risks early for proactive intervention
Requirements
- Revenue ownership — ability to hit sales targets and manage trade spend within budget
- Broker & partner coordination — ability to orchestrate execution across broker networks
- Analytical problem-solving — experience using POS and trade data to inform decisions
- Communication & influence — ability to present plans to buyers, brokers, and leadership
- Experience in CPG or grocery account management
- Proven track record of building retailer relationships and developing joint business plans
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously
