3M was looking for a Key Account (m/f/*)

3M is hiring a Key Account (m/f/*) for its Abrasive Systems Division (ASD) in Italy. In this role, you will build executive relationships and lead complex sales projects within large industrial companies, focusing on metalworking, to deliver high-impact solutions and sustainable growth.

What You'll Do

  • Build and expand executive-level relationships within large industrial companies, with a strong focus on metalworking.
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales projects from discovery to deployment and post-sale value realization.
  • Orchestrate 3M resources like Applications Engineers, Technical Specialists, Marketing, and Sales Agents to design high-impact solutions for strategic end customers.
  • Partner with authorized 3M Abrasives distributors to create joint account plans and deliver sustainable growth.
  • Develop new business with industrial automation and robotics OEMs and integrators to accelerate adoption of advanced abrasive solutions.
  • Work closely with the 3M Abrasives Division team to translate customer needs into technical applications and quantifiable outcomes like quality, throughput, cost, and safety.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong project-management capabilities: ability to scope, plan, execute, and track results.
  • Proven experience with complex, consultative B2B sales, skilled at engaging decision-makers, coordinating all project phases, and maintaining long-term, value-based relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with stakeholders at both end customers and distributors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Previous sales experience.
  • Good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of abrasive applications, welding processes, and industrial robotics or automation.
  • Proficiency with productivity and CRM tools, such as Microsoft 365 and CRM platforms.
  • Confident public speaking and executive presentation skills.
