DV Trading is hiring a Junior Direct Trader to join our team in Chicago. In this role, you will work with the direct trading team to learn about the oil & gas industry and develop a pipeline of counterparties. You will gain hands-on experience with trading methodology and proprietary systems while building your skills in business development and sales.
What You'll Do
- Develop a pipeline of counterparties to trade with.
- Contact counterparties across the globe with a particular focus in Asia and the Middle East, developing relationships with decision makers.
- Engage in one-to-one conversations to extract final deals from researched counterparties.
What We're Looking For
- BS or MS in Business Administration, Financial Studies, or PPE.
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluent Mandarin Chinese and English.
- Strong interest in energy markets, sales, and trading.
- Possess a strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new concepts.
