Mavis AI is looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join our team supporting IMPACT BRANDS, a health and wellness company. In this remote-first role, you will focus on designing cloud infrastructure, building data pipelines, and ensuring data integrity to support our data engineering processes.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain robust cloud infrastructure to support data engineering processes, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
- Develop and optimize automated data pipelines for efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of structured and unstructured data into BigQuery.
- Integrate data from various sources (APIs, databases, spreadsheets) into BigQuery and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through validation and quality checks.
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize data workflows, proactively resolving issues to ensure continuous operation.
- Document workflows, follow data regulations, and continuously improve processes by staying updated on new technologies.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience or familiarity with Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong interest in data engineering, automation, and process improvement.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., TypeScript, Python, SQL) for data extraction, manipulation, and automation.
- Understanding of data management concepts, along with familiarity with data integration tools and techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to continuous learning.
- Basic knowledge of digital marketing and e-commerce.
Nice to Have
- Data architecture for AI Agent Consumption.
- Big Data Migration experience is a plus.
