Velera Solutions, LLC is hiring an Enterprise Architect Intern - REMOTE

Velera is looking for an Enterprise Architect Intern to own the data integrity and automation processes for our Enterprise Architecture Repository. You will work closely with the Enterprise Architecture Team to manage repository data, catalog architectural solutions, and support project discovery.

What You'll Do

• Own data integrity and automation processes for the Enterprise Architecture Repository.
• Review approved Architecture Solutions and catalog details, technology standards, and end-of-support information.
• Shadow current Enterprise Architects to manage the Velera Architecture Repository, author architecture building blocks, and perform discovery on proposed projects.
• Work independently on action items related to shadowing and learning, including data entry, cleaning, and enhancement.
• Assist an Enterprise Architect with project discovery work and architecture building block authoring.
• Review, create, and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including diagrams, models, and specifications.
• Read, understand, and possibly modify existing R and Python code to automate data ingestion and reporting.

What We're Looking For

• Graduate student or Jr/Sr person on track for a Bachelor's degree in a computer or engineering field.
• Willing to learn or advance hands-on experience coding in R and Python.
• Willing to learn Enterprise Architecture Frameworks like TOGAF, SAFe, and ArchiMate.
• Willing to learn an EA modeling repository tool.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage your own workload with results.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Skilled in software development, specifically Python and an understanding of AI/ML models from Hugging Face or Azure Foundry.
• A willingness to read and understand source code, specifically in R and Python.
• An understanding of basic machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) principles and the relevant R and/or Python libraries.
• Strong understanding of architecture frameworks, enterprise application integration, and modern technology stacks.
• Ability to analyze software systems and provide analytical discussions around design.
