Healthfirst is looking for a Sr Cloud Machine Learning Engineer to establish data infrastructure best practices and integrate advanced analytical insights across the organization. You will collaborate with data science and cloud teams to develop, deploy, and monitor insights at big data scale.
What You'll Do
- Work with the data science team to develop, deploy, and monitor big data scale insights.
- Work with the cloud team to create, monitor, and improve best-practice data architecture design.
- Work cross-functionally with cloud development and product design teams.
- Shape the direction of advanced analytics at Healthfirst.
- Build out data pipeline solutions for a wide range of structured and unstructured data, with an emphasis on prototyping and refinement.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science or other quantitative discipline.
- 1-2 years scripting experience in Python.
- Can deploy programming solutions via API’s for ease of application integration.
- Experience moving the Jupyter Notebook style prototype into large-scale production.
- Experience presenting to cross functional groups within an organization.
- Had some experience working in a cloud platform.
- Familiarity with the statistician’s toolset: Regression, hypothesis testing, bootstrapping and machine learning methods.
- Adherence to coding reliability/versioning standards.
- A concern for reliability and disciplined experimentation with the promotion of new projects.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Can apply QA criteria rigorously.
Nice to Have
- You have deployed a large-scale software product in a production environment.
- Excellent data manipulation skills – Pandas, dplyr, SQL.
- Ability to work with large data sets – you can quickly create a data model and summarize information.
- Good at picking up new tools to solve new problems.
- Can work with traditional databases, NLP methods, audio-signal processing, and NoSQL type databasing.
- Worked with pyTorch, TensorFlow, H20.
- Created statistical analyses/ models / anomaly detection.
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations as they pertain to managed care organizations.
- Knowledge of the healthcare policy landscape.
- Experience with Tableau/ Excel.
- Experience with Agile.
- Experience with AWS or another cloud computing environment.
- Master's Degree from an accredited institution.

- Compensation: Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $134,600 - $194,480; All Other Locations (within approved locations): $119,600 - $177,905
