Gastro Health is hiring an IT Technician

About the Role

Provide essential technical support across a healthcare organization by maintaining and optimizing IT systems. You'll troubleshoot hardware and software issues, configure workstations, and ensure reliable network performance for clinical and administrative staff.

What You'll Do

  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, approved software, and workstation hardware including peripherals and network components
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems reported by users, ensuring timely resolution and ticket closure
  • Use help desk tools to log, track, and document incidents and solutions
  • Set up user accounts, manage directory services, and enforce security policies including anti-virus protection
  • Support remote access, mobile devices, printers, and other office technology
  • Assist with IT projects and perform system maintenance according to vendor guidelines
  • Uphold strict confidentiality of patient and organizational data in compliance with regulatory standards

Requirements

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred
  • 1–2 years of hands-on IT support experience
  • A+ Certification mandatory
  • Proven ability with PC and server hardware, MS operating systems, MS Server environments, MS Exchange, SQL, Linux, Terminal Services, RDP, VNC, Cisco PIX PDM, SSH, and MS Office
  • Familiarity with HIPAA requirements related to data security
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with solid documentation practices
  • Team-oriented mindset with capacity to work under minimal supervision
