Provide essential technical support across a healthcare organization by maintaining and optimizing IT systems. You'll troubleshoot hardware and software issues, configure workstations, and ensure reliable network performance for clinical and administrative staff.
What You'll Do
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, approved software, and workstation hardware including peripherals and network components
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems reported by users, ensuring timely resolution and ticket closure
- Use help desk tools to log, track, and document incidents and solutions
- Set up user accounts, manage directory services, and enforce security policies including anti-virus protection
- Support remote access, mobile devices, printers, and other office technology
- Assist with IT projects and perform system maintenance according to vendor guidelines
- Uphold strict confidentiality of patient and organizational data in compliance with regulatory standards
Requirements
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred
- 1–2 years of hands-on IT support experience
- A+ Certification mandatory
- Proven ability with PC and server hardware, MS operating systems, MS Server environments, MS Exchange, SQL, Linux, Terminal Services, RDP, VNC, Cisco PIX PDM, SSH, and MS Office
- Familiarity with HIPAA requirements related to data security
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
- Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with solid documentation practices
- Team-oriented mindset with capacity to work under minimal supervision
