About the Role
The IT Support Specialist will deliver frontline technical support to employees, maintain system functionality, and contribute to the stability and efficiency of the company's IT environment through proactive maintenance and user assistance.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical support to end users for hardware and software issues
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity problems
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripherals
- Support and manage company email systems and calendars
- Troubleshoot printing and scanning devices across office locations
- Assist with onboarding new employees and setting up their IT equipment
- Maintain accurate records of support tickets and resolutions
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers when necessary
- Perform regular system updates and security patches
- Monitor IT infrastructure for performance and reliability
- Support remote workers with secure access solutions
- Manage user accounts and permissions in directory services
- Assist with backup and recovery procedures
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing IT systems
- Coordinate with external vendors for equipment repair and service
- Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and standards
- Deploy software applications across multiple devices
- Support video conferencing and meeting room technology
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and licenses
- Assist in planning and executing office moves or reconfigurations
- Respond promptly to service outages and critical incidents
- Document technical procedures and create user guides
- Support mobile device management and provisioning
- Enforce cybersecurity best practices among users
- Participate in after-hours maintenance when required
