Responsibilities
- Help shape technical solutions with a focus on stable and efficient production operations
- Encourage adoption of standardized platforms and services with built-in resilience, monitoring, and security
- Identify and address risks related to system architecture, regulatory compliance, scalability, and project timelines
- Guide selection of technologies that meet business objectives and application requirements
- Ensure infrastructure and operational considerations are included in product planning
- Create and execute technical user stories covering automation, system maintenance, and lifecycle management
- Assist development teams in delivering faster and more securely
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deploy necessary technical solutions
- Maintain consistent availability and reliability of operational environments
- Support smooth rollout and deployment of systems and updates
- Verify environment functionality including performance, backup capabilities, and data access
- Conduct or review security assessments to ensure system integrity
- Maintain clear records of system access and adherence to established standards
- Detect operational risks in network, security, and data flows, and recommend corrective actions
- Enable streamlined deployment methods and provide expert input on production readiness
- Deploy monitoring and observability tools in coordination with support teams
- Ensure services are properly supervised with effective alerting systems
- Assist in setting service level agreements and performance metrics
- Keep operational and setup documentation current and accessible
- Validate disaster recovery and backup procedures through regular testing
- Support resolution of production incidents and manage release activities
- Lead initiatives to improve automation, system performance, and reliability
- Share and advocate for proven best practices across teams
- Work closely with application support teams to improve service delivery
- Promote understanding of production best practices within Agile development teams
