What You'll Do
Take end-to-end responsibility for the company’s IT environment across the UK and US, ensuring systems remain secure, efficient, and aligned with business growth. You’ll lead improvements in cybersecurity practices, including adherence to ISO/IEC 27001 standards, and work with external partners to strengthen data protection and operational resilience.
Manage relationships with outsourced IT providers, driving better service delivery and accountability. Serve as the primary contact for internal teams, resolving technical issues and reducing downtime to improve daily workflows. Guide the responsible adoption of AI tools, balancing innovation with security and compliance.
Over time, transition into the Data Protection Officer (DPO) role, shaping data governance policies and ensuring alignment with GDPR and other regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing IT operations in a fast-growing business, with the ability to adapt systems and processes as the organization scales
- Firm grasp of cloud platforms, SaaS ecosystems, and cybersecurity principles, including risk assessment and mitigation
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC 27001 and data protection regulations such as GDPR, with a willingness to take on DPO responsibilities
- Proven ability to manage third-party vendors and ensure service quality across regions
- Curiosity about AI technologies and a practical mindset for integrating them into business functions securely
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical issues for non-technical audiences
- A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and process improvement
- Collaborative style with experience working across engineering, product, and business functions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft platforms and Azure cloud infrastructure
- Background supporting AI tool deployment in enterprise settings
- Exposure to regulatory environments in both the UK and US
- Industry certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA, or equivalent
