Evaluate and document current and future infrastructure landscapes, covering hardware, software, network, and communication systems, while collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to identify legacy systems and emerging technologies.
Position is focused on strategic design, not day-to-day operations.
Collect internal and external data to support the development, upkeep, and rollout of infrastructure services.
Interpret and communicate infrastructure needs, including hardware, LAN and WAN connectivity, telephony, power systems (UPS, generator), environmental controls, and fire suppression, ensuring service continuity.
Design, deploy, support, monitor, and maintain infrastructure software platforms such as server and client operating systems, messaging and database systems, reporting tools, Citrix, VPN, web services, web proxies, and communication protocols like CICS, SNA, and TCP/IP.
Create documentation for operations, installation, configuration, and upgrades across communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage, software, and related technologies.
Act as a bridge between technical teams, management, end users, and vendors on matters involving service requests, system usage, standards, security, and technical specifications.
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues via on-site or remote access.
