Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring an Investment Manager - Director to serve as a strategic advisor managing comprehensive investment portfolios for high-net-worth clients. You will collaborate with relationship managers and internal specialists to deliver tailored investment solutions aligned with clients' long-term goals and risk profiles.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients’ investment needs, working closely with relationship managers to grow and service a defined client portfolio.
- Provide strategic advice on portfolio construction, asset allocation, and investment opportunities, leveraging internal investment insights and research.
- Continuously assess and update clients’ risk profiles to ensure portfolio suitability and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal partners, including discretionary portfolio managers and product specialists, to deliver integrated investment solutions.
- Conduct regular investment and business reviews with clients and internal teams to address gaps and opportunities.
- Support new client acquisition efforts through participation in pitches and presentations.
- Manage risk while seeking to maximize financial returns in accordance with regulations and client objectives.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Extensive experience in portfolio construction and asset allocation across traditional and alternative asset classes.
- Proven ability to advise high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals effectively.
- Strong understanding of capital markets from both strategic (top-down) and managerial (bottom-up) perspectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of initiative.
- Willingness to work according to a hybrid model based in Los Angeles, CA.

- Established network of clients within the target market.
- EMEA experience.
- Advanced qualifications such as CFA or MBA.
