BBVA is hiring an Investment Fund Credit Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and monitoring the credit risk of investment funds and their associated credit lines. You'll ensure the integrity of our risk framework while providing technical support to business areas.
What You'll Do
- Assign, review, and update internal ratings for funds and investment vehicles, including regulated funds like UCITS and AIFs, ensuring proper documentation and system entry.
- Continuously monitor the credit profile of funds and associated lines, evaluating investor quality, legal structure, protection mechanisms, and covenant compliance.
- Lead annual renewal and extraordinary review processes for ratings and credit lines.
- Identify early risk events, such as regulatory changes or deterioration in investor credit quality, that may affect the fund or line.
- Ensure compliance with internal risk policies and the applicable regulatory framework, guaranteeing methodological integrity and data quality.
- Provide technical support and well-founded analysis to business areas and risk committees to enable decisions on limits, pricing, and transaction structure.
What We're Looking For
- 1 to 2 years of experience in financial or credit risk analysis, preferably with exposure to investment funds, private equity, or financial institutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Solid knowledge of accounting and ability to interpret financial statements, understanding the relationship between asset performance, NAV, profitability, and financial position.
- Ability to read and analyze prospectuses and legal documentation, identifying investment restrictions, fund structure, and capital call mechanisms.
- Clear analytical and communication skills to support risk conclusions.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets.
- Advanced English proficiency.
