TD Securities is looking for an Investment Banking Analyst to join the Power & Utilities team in Toronto. In this role, you will work under senior officers to help generate ideas, advise clients, and execute transactions, with a focus on client presentations, financial modeling, and industry research.
What You'll Do
- Research and analyze clients' financial situations, industry and market data, and mergers and acquisition opportunities.
- Develop valuation models of individual private and public companies as well as merged entities.
- Apply valuation tools to assess opportunities and value public/private companies.
- Assist with client negotiations and documentation, with increasing responsibility and accountability over time.
- Prepare external client marketing materials and presentations.
- Apply product and capital markets knowledge to assist clients in achieving their objectives.
What We're Looking For
- Undergraduate degree with a demonstrated interest in finance.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, with a particular focus on financial analysis, accounting and capital markets concepts.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Familiarity and proficiency with Microsoft products, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
- Adept at financial modeling and valuation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- High attention to detail, curiosity and ability to adapt to evolving situations.
- Willingness to attain FINRA SIE and Series 79 licenses.
Nice to Have
- Prior investment banking analyst experience.
- CA and/or CFA designation considered a strong asset.
