The University of Toronto's Division of Cardiology at St. Michael's Hospital is hiring a full-time Academic Interventional Cardiologist. In this role, you will provide high-level clinical care, contribute to educational programs, and lead or collaborate on clinical research and quality improvement initiatives within a major academic center.
What You'll Do
- Participate in the 24/7 Primary Angioplasty/Code STEMI service.
- Perform inpatient and outpatient clinical activities, including attending on the Cardiac ICU or inpatient cardiology teaching unit.
- Run outpatient clinics, including specialty clinics such as the SCAD clinic.
- Support outpatient demands and inpatient consultations.
- Participate in educational programs in Cardiology at St. Michael's Hospital and the University of Toronto.
- Lead or collaborate in clinical research and quality improvement programs.
What We're Looking For
- MD degree or equivalent.
- Eligible for certification in Cardiology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
- Eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at the University of Toronto.
- A skilled coronary interventionalist.
Nice to Have
- Proven experience and expertise in intra-vascular imaging and/or intra-coronary physiology.
- Have or be working towards a graduate degree or other advanced training relevant to their area of specialization.
- A proven academic record of excellence in education or quality improvement.
Team & Environment
The Division currently consists of 25 full-time cardiologists. This position reports to the Head of the Division of Cardiology at St. Michael's Hospital.
