Responsibilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers to understand student strengths and challenges, support classroom strategies, adapt curriculum, and assist with classwork as needed.
- Administer diagnostic evaluations to guide instructional planning and interventions.
- Carry out functional behavior analyses to understand the causes of student behaviors.
- Develop and execute behavior intervention plans to support positive behavioral outcomes.
- Lead IEP conferences and create measurable goals and objectives for student plans.
- Commit to achieving targets for student performance and school culture, including state-mandated benchmarks.
- Apply evidence-based teaching methods in lesson design and classroom instruction.
- Incorporate culturally responsive practices in lessons and communications with students, families, and staff.
- Act as a designated advisor for a group of students, providing guidance and support.
- Maintain consistent contact with families to discuss academic progress and social-emotional development.
- Assist in organizing and executing non-academic activities, including field trips and school events.
- Complete additional tasks as required by school leadership.
