Responsibilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers to interpret student strengths and challenges, support classroom interventions, adapt curriculum, and assist with daily assignments.
- Administer diagnostic evaluations to guide instructional planning.
- Carry out functional behavior analyses to understand underlying causes of student behaviors.
- Develop and execute behavior intervention strategies to promote positive outcomes.
- Lead Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and establish measurable student goals and objectives.
- Consistently strive to achieve targets for student performance, school culture, and state-mandated academic benchmarks.
- Apply evidence-based teaching methods in lesson design and classroom instruction.
- Incorporate culturally relevant practices in all interactions with students, families, and staff.
- Act as a designated advisor for a group of students, supporting their overall development.
- Maintain regular communication with families about academic progress and social-emotional well-being.
- Contribute to organizing and running non-academic activities, including field trips and school events.
- Complete additional tasks as required by school leadership.
