Responsibilities
- Collaborate with classroom educators to interpret student strengths and challenges, support intervention methods, adapt core curriculum, and assist with daily academic tasks.
- Administer diagnostic evaluations to guide instructional planning.
- Carry out functional behavior analyses to understand student conduct patterns.
- Develop and execute behavior intervention strategies to support student growth.
- Lead Individualized Education Program (IEP) conferences and draft measurable goals and objectives.
- Consistently strive to achieve targets tied to student performance, school culture, and state-mandated academic benchmarks.
- Apply evidence-based teaching methods in lesson design and classroom instruction.
- Incorporate culturally relevant practices into teaching and interactions with students, families, and staff.
- Act as a dedicated advisor for a group of assigned students.
- Maintain regular communication with families about each student’s academic progress and social-emotional development.
- Support the organization and execution of non-academic initiatives, including field trips and school events.
- Complete additional responsibilities as determined by school leadership.
