Responsibilities
- Collaborate with classroom educators to interpret student strengths and challenges, support intervention methods, adapt core curriculum, and assist with classwork.
- Administer instructional diagnostic evaluations to inform teaching strategies.
- Carry out functional behavior evaluations to understand student conduct patterns.
- Develop and execute behavior intervention plans to promote positive outcomes.
- Lead Individualized Education Program meetings and draft measurable goals and objectives.
- Consistently strive to achieve targets for student performance, school culture, and state-mandated academic benchmarks.
- Apply teaching methods grounded in educational research during lesson planning and classroom instruction.
- Incorporate culturally relevant practices into daily instruction and interactions with students, families, and staff.
- Act as a designated advisor for a group of students to support their academic and personal development.
- Maintain regular communication with families about each student’s academic progress and social-emotional well-being.
- Support the organization and execution of non-academic activities, including field trips and school events.
- Complete additional tasks as directed by school administration.
