Responsibilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers to interpret student strengths and challenges, support classroom interventions, adapt curriculum, and assist with classwork.
- Administer diagnostic evaluations to inform instructional planning.
- Conduct functional behavior assessments to understand student behavior patterns.
- Develop and execute individualized behavior improvement plans.
- Lead IEP meetings and create measurable IEP goals and objectives.
- Consistently strive to achieve student performance targets, cultural benchmarks, and state-mandated academic outcomes.
- Apply evidence-based teaching methods in daily lesson design and classroom instruction.
- Incorporate culturally responsive practices into teaching and interactions with students, families, and staff.
- Act as a dedicated advisor for a group of students.
- Maintain regular communication with families about student progress in academics and social-emotional development.
- Support the organization and execution of non-academic activities including field trips and school events.
- Complete additional tasks as required by school administration.

- Must successfully pass FBI and BCI criminal background screenings.
