GLS US GROUP is hiring an INTERNATIONAL SALES MANAGER

About the Role

GLS US Group is hiring an International Sales Manager to be the primary driver of new revenue growth from the United States. You will develop strategic client relationships, expand the company’s global network, and act as a subject matter expert for our regional sales teams.

What You'll Do

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new international business opportunities within assigned territories.
  • Conduct in-person client meetings, presentations, and solution demonstrations.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service terms to maximize profitability.
  • Meet or exceed established sales targets, KPIs, and revenue goals.
  • Support and advise GLS regional sales teams on international opportunities, acting as a strategic partner.
  • Manage account implementation and ongoing servicing with the International Program Management team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop creative value propositions and entry strategies that differentiate GLS International.
  • Represent the company professionally at trade shows, industry events, and international meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions within CRM systems.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, import/export requirements, and company policies.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, international trade, or a related field, or 10+ years of sales experience in international freight forwarding or small package transportation.
  • 2–5 years of outside or international sales experience, preferably within logistics or transportation.
  • Experience supporting or overlaying regional sales teams and influencing without direct authority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred).
  • Working knowledge of international trade practices, customs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Comfortable with frequent domestic and occasional international travel.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week or more if required.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 20 lbs unassisted.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurability required when job duties require use of a motor vehicle.
