Responsibilities
- Engage in processes involving U.S. Customs and other federal agencies governing the entry of goods into the United States.
- Assist the customs team with daily import operations, project tasks, and data analysis needs.
- Gain knowledge of U.S. and Canadian laws governing international trade and cross-border shipments.
- Contribute to determining appropriate Harmonized Tariff Schedule classifications for imported products.
- Help evaluate Country of Origin for goods, including eligibility under trade agreements like USMCA.
- Support initiatives focused on digital transformation and process automation within the compliance function.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support compliance and operational goals.
- Conduct data analysis to support reporting, audits, and process improvements.
