Allianz is hiring an Intern - Accounting

Allianz, a global leader in insurance and asset management, is seeking an Intern - Accounting to join the financial reporting department of Allianz Versicherungs-AG. You will work closely with a team to account for property insurance companies under HGB, IFRS, and Solvency II standards, supporting the preparation of financial statements and reports.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with the team on the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under HGB, IFRS, and Solvency II for property insurance companies in Germany.
• Take primary responsibility for accounting and reporting for accident insurance business with premium refunds and assist in other areas.
• Support the creation of internal and external reporting, forecast and planning processes, and the preparation of materials for the CFO.
• Contribute to projects, such as the implementation of SAP S/4 Hana.

What We're Looking For

• Advanced stage of studies in economics, mathematics, or a comparable field.
• Basic knowledge of accounting regulations.
• Confident use of MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Fluent German and very good English skills, both written and spoken.
• Analytical thinking, reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.
• Openness to creative and innovative solutions and enjoyment of working with forward-looking technologies.

Nice to Have

• Focus on accounting or insurance management in your studies.
• Basic knowledge of the specific accounting requirements for insurance companies under HGB, IFRS, and Solvency II.
• Basic understanding of the VFA approach in IFRS accounting.
• Basic knowledge of SAP.
