Grifols, a family company committed to improving health through its values of ethics, quality, and responsibility, is looking for an Operational Excellence Intern. In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience with project management and lean manufacturing methodologies while supporting key sustainability and reliability initiatives at our Los Angeles site.
What You'll Do
- Generate a comprehensive file of key site equipment and a list of projects to create a framework for long-term sustainability.
- Develop templates for project meetings, schedules, presentations, and other essential project documents.
- Upload training presentations, create a calendar of activities, and organize Lean Manufacturing tools and templates in a central shared drive.
- Support Shutdown Activities during the planning, execution, and area release phases.
- Compile all project information into a standard template for prioritization.
- Organize folders for the Shutdown and various Project Teams to improve user access and formatting.
- Work with the Associate Director of Project Management to assist with meeting minutes, follow-up, and other project tasks.
- Work with the Director of Operational Excellence to assist with other unplanned activities and projects as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a Scientific field (Biology/Chemistry preferred) as a rising junior or senior, OR currently accepted or enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program.
- A current GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Familiarity and comfort with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Visio, and PowerPoint.
Nice to Have
- Training or experience with Project Management is preferred but not required.
