3M is hiring an Intercompany Buyer Analyst

About the Role

3M is looking for an Intercompany Buyer Analyst to ensure the smooth flow of inbound intercompany transactions. In this role, you will monitor orders, manage import compliance, and facilitate critical communication between global subsidiaries and source locations.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor and manage intercompany orders inbound transactions.
  • Work closely with source locations, supply chain teams, subsidiaries, and logistics partners to ensure timely import of transactions.
  • Execute transactions following import rules and regulations, complying with applicable country policies.
  • Manage communication between 3M international subsidiaries and ship locations by providing accurate data on product availability and order status.
  • Follow up on escalations, delays, shipment discrepancies, invoice issues, and system errors.
  • Support inquiries from partner teams.
  • Ensure timely completion of Customer Feedback Resolution data for subsidiary partners.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and participate in continuous improvement initiatives like Lean Six Sigma.
  • Proactively identify and resolve problems.
  • Support ERP deployments for Intercompany, Plant, and Country systems.
  • Actively participate in relevant corporate programs, comply with all policies and standards, and uphold 3M’s ethical values.
  • Demonstrate good time management in daily operations.
  • Maintain a basic understanding of the ICO (Intercompany Order) model.

What We're Looking For

  • 1-2 years of University/College Education.
  • Intermediate English skills, both written and verbal.
  • A team player who collaborates effectively.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • 1+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, and/or Transportation.
  • Self-motivated, fast learner with a willingness-to-learn.
  • A high service, quality-oriented, and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work well with teams, especially virtual and cross-functional ones.
  • Resourcefulness and ability to work well with ambiguity.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • SAP experience.
  • Experience in international transacting.
  • Experience within multiple supply chain roles (demand, supply, production planning, distribution/transportation).
  • Experience working on cross-functional and international teams.

You will work closely with source of supply locations, BG/division supply chain, Enterprise Operations, 3M Subsidiaries, Master Data, and 3PL/freight forwarders.
