About the Role
This role is responsible for coordinating integrated safety management initiatives, maintaining program documentation, supporting audits, and facilitating communication between technical teams and safety stakeholders to promote a culture of safety excellence.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the development and maintenance of integrated safety management systems
- Support compliance with federal safety regulations and internal policies
- Assist in the preparation of safety program documentation and updates
- Facilitate cross-functional communication between safety teams and project staff
- Track and report on safety performance metrics and improvement initiatives
- Participate in safety audits, assessments, and readiness reviews
- Maintain safety management databases and document control systems
- Organize and schedule safety-related meetings and working groups
- Provide administrative support for safety training coordination
- Draft and edit safety communications, presentations, and reports
- Monitor regulatory changes and recommend updates to safety protocols
- Support incident reporting and follow-up processes
- Coordinate corrective actions from safety findings
- Ensure consistency in safety program implementation across teams
- Assist in the development of safety performance indicators
- Manage records related to safety management system activities
- Prepare materials for senior management safety reviews
- Liaise with contractors and external partners on safety coordination
- Promote safety culture through outreach and engagement activities
- Maintain calendars and action item tracking for safety governance bodies
