Insurance Coverage Attorney – Minneapolis
Position Overview
We are currently looking for a skilled Insurance Coverage Attorney to join our Minneapolis office. This role supports clients through detailed coverage analysis, litigation representation, and ongoing communication with insurers and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate insurance policies and prepare thorough coverage assessments
- Represent clients in disputes involving coverage determinations
- Communicate clearly and professionally with carriers and internal teams
- Deliver accurate, timely work across multiple active matters
Qualifications
- Admitted to the Minnesota bar and in good standing
- 3–5 years of focused experience in insurance coverage law
- Proven experience with third-party liability coverage issues
- Background in drafting formal coverage opinions and managing litigation files
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to balance multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Excellent writing and speaking skills
- Independent initiative combined with a collaborative mindset
Work Environment
This position operates within a hybrid work model based in Minneapolis, with flexibility for remote arrangements and alternative schedules. The firm supports a diverse workforce and offers contract-based roles depending on practice needs.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary for Associates with 1–6+ years of experience ranges from $100,000 to $165,000. Senior Counsel or Of Counsel roles (5+ years) range from $140,000 to $215,000, while Partners (7+ years) may earn $190,000 to $275,000 or more. Final compensation depends on experience, skills, practice focus, business development, and location.
