M&T Bank is looking for an Instructional Designer to create effective learning solutions. You will apply adult learning theory and industry-recognized design models to develop training content across multiple delivery modes, adhering to our quality standards.

What You'll Do

Work with Sr. Instructional Designers, Learning Consultants, and Subject Matter Experts to conduct needs analyses and develop training goals for synchronous and asynchronous learning solutions.
Design and develop text, graphics, animations, simulations, and assessment instruments for training.
Independently create and manage development timelines and milestones to meet project deliverables.
Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
Work independently to service business line requests and manage partner relationships.
Work flexibly in an agile team structure.
Ensure writing and directions are intelligible, clear, and appropriate for the intended audience.
Assure all course components are published to the LMS.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Instructional Design with 4+ years’ experience in training and development or instructional design. In lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 8 years' education and relevant experience.
Advanced technical writing and editing skills.
Ability to author and edit content using tools including Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate.
Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Critical thinking, analysis, and synthesis skills.
Skills in planning, organizing, and project management.
Ability to work collaboratively and creatively in a deadline-driven environment.
Ability to manage multiple projects at different stages while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
Experience with Learning Management Systems.

Nice to Have

Advanced degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum Design, or Adult Education.
Experience designing web-based and/or video training for adult audiences leveraging Camtasia, Adobe Premier, Audacity, Vyond, and VideoScribe.
Experience in training and development, technology, financial and banking services.
Ability to provide oversight of work performed by external vendors as needed.
ATD certification.
