River Cleanup was looking for an Institutional Partnerships Manager

River Cleanup is hiring an Institutional Partnerships Manager to lead our fundraising efforts with foundations and government bodies. You will play a pivotal role in securing the resources needed for our mission to turn off the tap on new plastic pollution and permanently remove legacy waste, creating a world where rivers are free of plastics.

What You'll Do

  • Lead foundation and government fundraising across the entire cycle: prospect research, relationship building, proposal writing, grant management, and reporting.
  • Support the Head of Partnerships in engaging (ultra) high-net-worth individual donors and manage selected major donor relationships.
  • Coach and support the Fundraising Officer in institutional fundraising and grant writing.
  • Serve as the main internal focal point for all institutional partnership matters related to government and foundations.
  • (Co-)develop and maintain tools, processes, and communication materials for institutional funders.
  • Contribute to shaping the institutional fundraising strategy for 2026-2030.
  • Keep accounts, contacts, and opportunities up-to-date in the CRM.

Team & Environment

You will work closely with and in direct support of the Head of Partnerships. You will also be supported by and responsible for coaching a Fundraising Officer, reporting directly to the Head of Partnerships.
