We’re looking for an Installation Specialist to remotely deploy and configure our restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems. In this role, you’ll guide clients and third-party partners through hardware setup, network configuration, and system integration—all from a distance. Your deep understanding of restaurant workflows will ensure each location is ready to operate efficiently from day one.
What You’ll Do
- Remotely support the installation of POS workstations, printers, pin pads, cash drawers, switches, and related hardware
- Assist with router and firewall setup, including patch cables and physical cable organization
- Conduct virtual site readiness checks and troubleshoot connectivity or configuration issues
- Train restaurant teams on system functionality, menu updates, and daily operations
- Manage pre- and post-installation checklists to maintain consistency and quality
- Provide real-time support during go-live events and resolve technical challenges as they arise
What We’re Looking For
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience installing and supporting POS systems
- Minimum of 2 years working directly in restaurant environments
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay composed in fast-paced situations
- Clear and effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple installations simultaneously and adapt to varying client needs
- Basic knowledge of financial accounting and invoicing procedures
- Familiarity with coaching individuals across roles—from kitchen staff to owners
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience across different types of restaurant concepts
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent field experience
- Proficiency in a second language
