Sonoco is hiring an Inspector Packer to ensure the quality and packaging of all finished goods at our Forest City, NC facility. In this role, you will be a critical part of our production process, maintaining data, alerting technicians to issues, and upholding our high standards for safety and quality while working rotating 1st & 2nd shifts.

What You'll Do

Inspect finished goods for visual and physical defects before packaging.
Maintain production data including scrap cause records and work order detail.
Alert technicians to quality or machine issues.
Use manual pallet jacks to move materials occasionally.
Maintain cleanliness of the area and follow good housekeeping procedures.
Perform all duties with the highest level of safety and quality.
Cover overtime and weekend work when necessary.

What We're Looking For

Basic knowledge and behavioral observation skills to identify safety concerns.
Able to detect visual and physical defects in finished products.
Able to maintain production data.
Ability to lift, walk, stoop, bend, and perform leg and arm movement.
Be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced production setting.
Demonstrate reliability, good initiative, commitment, and quality focus.
Ability to work quickly while maintaining high craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Flexibility to cover overtime and weekend work when necessary.
History of excellent attendance.
Ability to work with various teams.
Able to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
