What You'll Do
Process customer orders accurately and maintain timely order entry throughout the sales cycle. Organize and distribute daily order schedules to warehouse personnel to support efficient fulfillment.
Work closely with warehouse staff to resolve shipping discrepancies, delivery delays, product shortages, and damage issues. Prepare documentation for freight claims and coordinate credit adjustments or reshipments as needed.
Respond to customer questions via phone, email, and in-person interactions regarding product details, order status, shipping updates, and warranty information. Provide transaction support by processing payments and credits promptly.
Assist dealers and customers with parts identification and installation inquiries by applying product knowledge. Support external sales representatives through consistent internal processes that enhance service quality.
Attend local trade shows as required, including occasional weekend participation. Perform additional duties as assigned to support team objectives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; completion of post-secondary college or technical training preferred
- Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong communication skills for handling customer interactions professionally
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and urgency
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with building materials or construction methods is beneficial. Prior experience in inside sales or order desk operations is an advantage.
