Responsibilities
- Lead the deployment, upkeep, and engineering of cable trays, copper, coax, fiber optics, and related components.
- Maintain cleanliness and operational standards in approximately 1800-1900 Telecommunication Rooms.
- Perform on-site assessments and submit bi-weekly summaries with findings and action plans.
- Create and execute maintenance strategies aligned with ANSI/TIA/EIA 568 Standards.
- Utilize ticketing platforms to monitor installations, surveys, moves, additions, and modifications.
- Supply personnel and support for decommissioning tasks and quality checks prior to system handover.
- Manage and coordinate JSP-provided OSP services, including manholes and handholes.
- Collaborate with vendors and authorities on construction designs, OSP feasibility, and permit acquisition.
- Ensure OSP systems are inspected, maintained, and meet current industry regulations.
- Generate and process tickets for OSP issues and coordinate emergency repair efforts when needed.
- Enforce adherence to BICSI standards, local JSP policies, and safety protocols.
- Stay current with evolving ISP and OSP infrastructure standards and ensure compliance.
- Produce comprehensive and timely documentation, including survey results, incident logs, restoration plans, customer alerts, after-action reviews, and OSP impact analyses.
- Keep accurate and current records for all installation and maintenance work.
- Supervise and direct both inside and outside plant staff to ensure high performance and efficiency.
- Take part in Passive Infrastructure Review Board meetings and assist in validating backbone cabling needs.
