Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited is hiring an Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager - Manufacturing Planner to join our team. This role is responsible for the process design, production capacity management, facility layout, and continuous improvement for the manufacturing of hydraulic brake systems and vehicle safety components. A core aspect of the role involves significant responsibility for production relocation and coordination within our global plant network.
What You'll Do
- Develop detailed manufacturing sequences and technical packages, including work instructions, routing sheets, and SOPs.
- Create, review, and maintain key process documentation: PFMEA, Control Plan, Standard Work Procedures, Process Routing.
- Determine necessary manpower, MAE, and raw materials for specific production runs to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Create TEK charts based on customer forecasts and ensure sufficient capacity is available to meet present and future demand.
- Create 2D/3D plant layouts using tools like AutoCAD to optimize material flow, operator ergonomics, and utility access.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S initiatives to reduce waste, eliminate bottlenecks, and lower production costs.
- Utilize root cause analysis and preventative actions to address non-conformances, equipment malfunctions, or material shortages.
- Collaborate with ENG teams during initial stages to reconcile manufacturing constraints with product design.
- Apply Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly principles to simplify designs, reduce part counts, and lower costs.
- Manage virtual and physical builds to validate new processes, troubleshoot assembly issues, and calculate initial yields.
- Coordinate the seamless implementation of Engineering Change Requests into live production while minimizing scrap and rework.
- Develop detailed 'tear-down and set-up' sequences for machinery to minimize downtime and ensure recalibration to spec.
- Partner with specialized logistics providers to move heavy assets from other IPN locations.
- Strategically build up 'bridge inventory' before production moves to ensure customer orders are filled during downtime.
- Coordinate with facilities engineering to ensure the new site has necessary pneumatic, electrical, and data drops.
- Lead validation protocols at new sites to confirm relocated equipment meets original performance and quality benchmarks.
- Develop and enforce 'Golden Rules' for manufacturing sequences to ensure process stability across global sites.
- Lead 'Lead Plant' initiatives to capture process innovations and deploy them across the global network.
- Act as remote or on-site technical expert to resolve critical production bottlenecks or quality deviations in satellite factories.
- Adapt global manufacturing standards to meet local regulations, workforce skill levels, and supply chain constraints.
- Collaborate with international logistics and planning teams to shift production volumes between regions based on plant load, tariffs, or disruptions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or Automobile disciplines.
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing planning or process engineering role.
