As an Innovation Trainee, you will play a key role in identifying and interpreting emerging trends in both human and pet nutrition. Your work will focus on uncovering shifts in ingredients, packaging, consumer preferences, and product claims, helping guide the company’s future innovation pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor evolving trends in food categories, drawing insights from both pet and human nutrition markets to anticipate future directions.
- Track and analyze new product launches and brand initiatives across key regions, with attention to claims, formats, and sustainability practices.
- Translate market signals into clear, actionable insights that inform innovation strategies and platform development.
- Collaborate with digital and marketing teams to integrate online consumer behavior, social listening, and digital trends into analysis.
- Support the creation of trend reports, benchmarking studies, and inspiration decks used across innovation projects.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify unmet consumer needs and potential white space opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
- Demonstrate fluency in both English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, using them effectively for data analysis and presentation.
- Show a natural curiosity, strong learning agility, and the ability to adapt quickly in a changing environment.
- Possess solid organizational and analytical skills, with a proactive mindset and team-oriented approach.
