Responsibilities
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Support to detect missing or outdated documentation and align content priorities with user needs and product timelines.
- Develop and oversee the organizational structure of internal engineering documentation and public-facing guides.
- Establish and manage consistent templates and editorial standards for technical writing.
- Build and maintain a docs-as-code workflow that integrates documentation into the software development lifecycle with automated testing and deployment.
- Serve as primary author for essential technical documents such as API references, system architecture summaries, and integration instructions.
- Regularly review and revise documentation to reflect current product features and updates.
- Improve content discoverability so users can access relevant information efficiently.
- Produce diagrams, instructional materials, and presentations that clarify advanced technical topics.
- Use Generative AI tools to speed up content development while ensuring human oversight maintains quality and accuracy.
- Set usage policies for AI-assisted documentation within engineering to preserve technical correctness and data security.
