As an Industrial Layout Analyst, you will create and refine industrial layouts that support vehicle manufacturing operations across multiple production areas, including Press, Body, Paint, Polymers, and General Assembly. Your work will directly influence production efficiency, material flow, and facility design, ensuring optimal use of space and resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Design detailed industrial layouts for production lines, material handling zones, and support areas such as maintenance spaces, storage, and common facilities
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop solutions that improve manufacturing performance and enterprise-wide efficiency
- Conduct on-site data collection using laser scanning equipment and process point cloud data for accurate 'As Built' 3D models
- Support automation initiatives in receiving, storage, sequencing, and delivery processes to enhance material flow
- Develop planning-phase solutions in alignment with logistics, containerization, and product development teams
- Apply virtualization tools and emerging technologies to advance manufacturing engineering processes
- Ensure all layout documentation is accurate, up to date, and reflects current plant configurations
Qualifications and Skills
You must hold a completed bachelor’s degree in Engineering and be proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD (2D and 3D), Factory CAD, Auto-Turn, Navisworks, NX, and point cloud processing tools. Professional registration with CREA is required. Experience in a CAD engineering role with measurable results is essential, along with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability.
Intermediate English skills are necessary, and Spanish proficiency is an advantage. Familiarity with data analytics platforms like Power BI, PowerApps, or Databricks is preferred. You should be comfortable working independently with guidance from senior engineers and be available for occasional travel and weekend work as needed.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role based in São Caetano do Sul, requiring on-site presence three days per week, from Tuesday to Thursday.
